Gaia-X Federation Services: Quality assurance tender launched

As part of the Gaia-X Federation Services (GXFS-DE) project, the project management office at eco is now initiating the quality assurance phase for testing the developed open-source software code. Interested partners can apply for the public tender in the period from November 26 to December 5, 2022 to carry out the quality assurance for GXFS-DE.

The focus here is on functional testing of the developed GXFS software components. The aim is to check whether the software components meet the defined acceptance criteria. This includes the validation of existing test results from the development phase, the planning and execution of own tests and the evaluation of the software code with regard to common quality criteria.

The GXFS components will be handed over to the Eclipse Foundation Europe as an open source project in Q1 2023.

About GXFS-DE

GXFS-DE is the project name of an initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), based on a resolution of the German Bundestag. It was launched to initiate the collaborative development of so-called Gaia-X Federation Services to enable data exchange in a trustworthy, transparent and sovereign manner. The specifications and open-source code resulting from this funded project are owned by Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL – Brussels, Belgium.

The Cologne-based eco Verband der Internetwirtschaft e.V. coordinates the procurement of this implementation work and awards the contracts for project implementation on the basis of an open EU-wide tender procedure.
